Basically, American Conservatism is a political ideology that espouses the values of America’s Founding Fathers;  and promotes the principles of Liberty that are codified within the US Constitution.  Conservatives are strong advocates for States’ Rights, and directly-accountable local governance: as opposed to being “micro-ruled” by a behemoth, centralized national government (or a foreign government like The UN).

Conservatives understand (and history proves) that free-market capitalism (with very-limited government intervention) is the most effective national economic system: for generating the greatest amount of prosperity (and liberty)—for the greatest number of citizens.
